My friend Melanie is here from out of town, and so is my sister and her family, so I got to run with buddies today - Melanie and my brother-in-law, Joseph. We did 5K starting out a little faster than I usually do, but we made the loop in 27:48. My knees didn't bother me at all, but I felt it a little in the shins. When we got back, I did some lower body weights - 4 sets of 10 reps with leg extensions @30 lbs.(on my old rickety machine), lying leg curls @ 25 lbs., calf raises (4 sets of 12 on each leg), and some crunches. It was a good morning. :D |
