Besides running, I love performing on stage, and have recently become re-involved in the theater, after a LONG break to have children. Last summer I did my first show as a PAID professional actress! | HIIT on the recumbant bike this morning. This evening, I went back to the gym to do the elliptical-of-death, and after 5 minutes and .25 miles, I was done. (But I decided to count it anyway!) So I ended up going to yoga instead. I was very careful not to do anything that might injure my slowly-healing back, but I found that I am much stronger in many ways than I was the last time I did yoga (YAY!) and that it felt great! So I'm glad I skipped out on the tortuous elliptical and did yoga instead. :D |

I THOUGHT that I had a meeting to go to tonight, so after my upper-body-workout early this morning, I went over to the pool and did my 60 minutes of water-running. As it turns out, the meeting is TOMORROW night, so my extra efforts were in vain. Oh, well, at least I had a night off...until Ben came home and started dressing for the gym. I thought, "Why not?" And I followed him out the door. I did a 3.1 mile power-walk on the treadmill (not going to count it this time) in 43:33, then added another couple of miles. I spent 76 minutes total on the treadmill. Then I thought, "Three hours of working out is enough for one day," and called it quits. :D

All I did today was my 20 minute HIIT on the recumbant bike. Afterwards, I thought about doing the elliptical - as a matter of fact, I actually got ON the elliptical...but then I thought, "Nah. Not today." And I got off and went home. I feel a little like a slacker. But not really. My body needed a rest. :D

I did a lower body workout this morning. It was good and hard, and left me sweating. When I went in to the doc's to get my B-12 shot, I weighed in at the exact same weight as I did two weeks ago, but my body fat % dropped by 2%!!! YES! I'm glad all this weight training is actually doing something. Cuz it's NOT my favorite. Maybe when I actually get around to running again, I'll be lightning fast because I'm so strong. Yeah. That sounds pretty good right there. :D

Ahhhh....last entry of the month! I did my 140 minutes of water-running this morning. It was surprisingly easy, and equally surprisingly not as boring as it usually is! I had a great time, but felt like I needed a little something extra to get my heart rate up....so I went to the gym this afternoon and did a 20 minute HIIT on the recumbant bike. I left there sweating like a pig and feeling fantastic! Good day. :D
