Running Accomplishments:

I started running in September 2007 - 4 months after baby #8 was born.  Since then I have finished two 5Ks, three 10Ks, three half-marathons, and I completed my first Marathon with at time of 4:48- the Phoenix Rock-N-Roll - Jan 2009!  Marathon #2 showed GREAT improvement - the Saint George Marathon 2009 with a time of 4:10 - YEAH!!!!

Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to run more marathons, finish injury-free, go dancing afterwards, and mostly have a LOT of FUN!!!

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running!!!  Someday I want to be able to consider myself as something other than a beginner.  :D

Personal:

I am happily married, have 8 children, and am madly in love with my awesome husband!!!  Besides running, I love performing on stage, and have recently become re-involved in the theater, after a LONG break to have children.  Last summer I did my first show as a PAID professional actress!  I teach piano and voice lessons, and homeschool my kids.  Life is grand!

I ran 5 miles with Ben this morning. We finished in 47:18.  I still wore the brace, and my arch still hurt, but it sort of numbed out by around mile four.  I'm just glad I was able to get a run in.  :-)

I was SOOO tempted to run today, but Ben urged me to take it easy, since I'm technically still "injured."  :-P  So I went for a fast ride instead.  I did 15 miles in about 50 minutes ALL BY MYSELF!  For someone who is a social exerciser, that's pretty good!  I intend to run tomorrow, injured or not!  Just a few miles....

Ben dragged me off to the track this morning.  I didn't want to go, since we stayed up past midnight the night before.  :D  But I know what's good for me - LOL!  I did three miles, with short sprints every time I went down one side of the track.  My Garmin wasn't charged, so I don't know what my time was, but I felt really good about the run.  Afterwards, I did a lot of stretching.  It was a good morning!

I woke up late, so I had to forgo part of my run in order to meet my friend Katie for our bike ride.  I ended up doing 2.75 miles in 24:38.  Not a bad pace for me.  Then we rode 24 miles together - it was an easy pace, but it still was nice to spend time on my bike.  :D

I ran a really slow 10.5 miles with Elijah and some friends this morning.  The arch is still really bothering me, but since I still seem to be able to run on it, I guess I'm not going to get too concerned about it....yet.  We'll see how the next week goes...

Britnee and I went for a short run this morning, doing 3.1 in 37:48 (run/walk alternating every 2 minutes).  Then, for my "workout," I did a 22.08 mile ride in 1 hour 21 minutes.  After that, I got in a 25 minute nap and went off to do two shows.  I'm sooo glad it's bedtime!!!
